In Midnight's Whirl

Come whisper to me as stars fall around us
in the midnight's whirl and beauty.

Your voice mesmerizes and heals me.
I could listen to your stories all night.

Lucky girl I am as I touch
your strong, smooth back and perfect, sexy backside.

Sweet man, come whisper to me as stars fall around us
in the midnight's whirl and beauty.

How I love dancing with you, your sexy eyes,
dreamy smile, and laid-back ease

as your arms envelop me like vines.
There's no detangling myself.

Come whisper to me as stars fall around us
in midnight's whirl and beauty.

I'm happily caught in your charms,
holding you close and still closer,

drawing you into me--glorious you.
How I want more and more of you.

Come whisper to me as stars fall around us
in the midnight's whirl and beauty.

As the sky fills with stars, being near you
spins me into divine dizziness.

Like a starving tiger, I crave you, taste you,
leap towards you for the burn of your fiery touch.

Come whisper to me as stars fall around us
in the midnight's whirl and beauty.

In Time

She wants to dance fast as a flame,
burn long, strong, bright--
blaze right past the pain
and land in the arms of a lover
she might trust, one who might
know how to dance with her,
move with her, be with her,
step with her, move with her,
be with her in all the ways
she knows--the back and forth
energy of wind and fire, a tossing motion
swimming together in time and rhythm.

January's Scene

Horses' tails catch sunlight like fire
as dusk presents red setting sun.
Neighbor's barn's roofless from hurricane.

Cold wind shivers through tall grass.
Coffee scents sail across the landscape.
Horses' tails catch sunlight like fire.

Toys flutter on a nearby lawn
as the horses begin to roam.
Neighbor's barn's roofless from a hurricane.

Egrets soar over distant fields
flying pearls of soft white.
Horses' tails catch sunlight like fire.

Hawks hang overhead,
circle as slow as kites.
Neighbor's barn's roofless from a hurricane.

Car stereos invade quiet
as people drive home.
Still, horses' tails catch sunlight like fire--
and a neighbor's barn's roofless from a hurricane.

Nightly Plight

Sleep is a precious jewel I long to own.
Let sparkling dreams keep me for hours.
My dog keeps barking all night,
disturbing my rest and need for flight.

Let sparkling dreams keep me for hours,
sweet diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and pearls.
But disturbing my rest and need for flight
is my lively boy who stays up all night.

Sweet diamonds, rubies, emeralds and pearls,
won't you fill my nights with color? But, no, there
is my lively boy who stays up all night,
barking, barking--nearly at every hour.
